Thrifty Thursday…part two
Bargainista. Ressionista.
Whatever you want you to call it…each of us is thinking twice about spending. Remember when comparing notes on our favorite Target or clearance find was a guilty pleasure? Now we quickly forward e-coupons to our friends, invites to special sales, clip coupons and out-think our gift lists.
Recently, I ran into a friend near the Kroger’s checkout lane. There was an awkward moment as each of us double-checked our grocery lists, then our coupons. Coupons. There we were two working-women coupons in hand…we chuckled and then compared our “finds.” She had coupons for razor blace refills, detergent, pasta and snacks for her son. My coupons were a for my favorite brands of toothpaste, cereal, tea and baking supplies.
Speaking of sharing, did you know that Starbucks is offering 20% off of select merchandise and whole beans through December 15, 2008? Now, that’s a perk for the holidays.
And Nike is having a wonderful online sale (checkout the clearance section and look for the free shipping code). With that find, I have a gift for hubby.
While you are online, sign-up for periodic emails from your local Aveda salon. You’ll receive advance notice of their Customer Appreciation Day sales. Gotta love a discount on
Did you see that Mama Says, No More Frozen Pizza! made the holiday gift list at the Atlanta Journal Constitution. And is Gift Therapist Approved! Order by December 17th to ensure holiday delivery to the new cook in your life. Think about this way, this is a gift that saves your child from a life of frozen pizza.
