Recommendations and Suggestions

We are often asked which websites and blogs we regularly read.  That’s easy.  Here are a few our favorites – including a couple where you’ll periodically find us guest blogging!

Carlo Russo’s Wine World

Amanda Donnelly is the Online Sales Manager at this nifty wine and spirit retailer off of Route 17 in NJ. If you don’t live nearby, don’t fret (neither do we); simply sign up for their e-newsletter. During the summer of 2009, Amanda went to Spain and has been sharing her favorites wines, vintners and deals. Periodically, she will pair a wine with a Mama Says recipe – another terrific reason to sign-up for the newsletter or visit their website.

Daily Candy

Do we need to say more than – sign-up and enjoy their shopping karma. To quote them - Daily Candy is a free daily e-mail from the front lines of fashion, food, and fun. Sign up to get the scoop on hot new restaurants, designers, secret nooks, and charming diversions in your city and beyond.

And yes, Daily Candy - Atlanta did review the Mama Says, “No More Frozen Pizza!” recipe collection – but we coveted their daily emails –way before they called us “Yo Momma…”

Ladies Who Launch! (LWL)

Are you a female entrepreneur?  Are you looking to meet and share ideas with other smart women? Do you want to support woman-run business. Check out this fabulous nationwide forum and ask if there is a LWL group in your area. Don’t forget to sign-up for their e-newsletter.

RecipeKey Unlocking a world of cooking possibilities

We met Rebecca Hansen on Twitter (@keynotesbecca) and asked her guest post a St. Patrick’s Day recipe on the Mama Says blog. We’ve enjoyed watching RecipeKey grow. Their dynamic recipe search tool is way cool.  They’ll suggest recipes based on the items in your pantry – yes, it takes a minute to drag & drop the items in your pantry – but that is way cool and FUN.

The Crazy Suburban MomTracy

Read this blog to put a smile on your face. Tracy’s writing is sharp and funny as she tries to find the silver lining in events that fill her days. She recently hauled a Yoda cake creation to summer camp for her son and his friends.  What a mother will do…

The MomStyle News - the online newspaper for parents

The Momstyle News, founded by Angeline Duran Piotrowski, is your online parenting news source. It highlights current parenting news, guest articles, hot tips and information of immediate use… like quick, easy, healthy kid friendly recipes and quick crafts. We were introduced to Angeline by Sue Rodman, Field Trips with Sue, on Twitter - and a match was made.  We are now frequent guest bloggers in the recipe section - look for us and several other terrific cooks as we offer up quick, easy and healthy meals for busy families.

The Mogul Mom - Coaching & Resources for Mom Entrepreneurs

Heather Allard is the queen of sharing fabulous information and useful tips.  She’s started three successful businesses.  This full-time mom freely shares her passion and competitive nature by helping other entrepreneurs. You’ll want her by your side - sharing advice, laughs and a to-do list that will fill your week.  This weekend, she’s given us a reading assignment - did we mention she coaches!!! Heather, thank you in ways we can’t even begin to explain.
