March is National Peanut Month!

Peanuts are one of America’s favorite foods.  Did you know that peanuts are actually not nuts at all?  They’re legumes, like peas, beans and lentils.  The average American consumes more than 6 pounds of peanuts and peanut butter in a year.

Peanut Butter is a great pantry staple.  Dean & Deluca has a great peanut recipe on their website for Indonesian Chicken Sate .  And since I’m from Georgia, here’s a link to the Georgia Peanut Commission where you can learn more about peanuts and find more great recipes!
